Good morning!
Many gym-goers are ego-driven and not health-driven.
Ego-lifting at a young age hurts you.
We’re gonna be talking about:
What is yoga and its purpose?
Yoga is hard and spiritually beneficial.
Yoga is to maintain equilibrium of the mind in any situation. Not always switching between Sukha (happiness) and Dukha (despair). This is also taking Jeevatma (individual soul) to the spiritual level of the Paramatma (Supreme soul). Ask yourself with anything, “does this make me a better person?” Whenever I stop looking at the time on my watch, and rather just focus on my breath, horse-riding stance becomes easier to do for longer.
Don’t focus on the outcome, focus on the process, or the actual practice that you’re doing.
It seems like detachment is progress.
A state of bliss isn’t just constant happiness, because desiring that means being avoidant of despair. Really, you’re supposed to accept both, which would in turn help you become the kind of person who’s “content/happy” the majority of the time.
Someone said that detaching from movement in yoga actually helped them do the moves. Although that’s not the point, it holds true that what people like to refer to as “progress” is possible with detachment.
Deepak Chopra says that to feel better and less tense, and even to have better relationships with others, you need to remove your ego. You can do it by acknowledging it, not judging it and allowing it to pass. People feel your energy and reflect it, so work on it.
And by the way, the Bhagavad Gita makes a point of fulfilling our dharma or personal purpose specifically in regards to righteousness, social obligations and good qualities.
That’s the point of this channel.
Physically, Yoga reduces inflammation by significantly reducing c-reactive proteins in the body, after regular yoga for as little as 7 weeks.
Reduces lower back pain which is great for me, because it increases flexibility in the hamstrings and then in the hip flexors.
Regardless of the fact that some studies show that yoga can “possibly” reduce stress and depressive symptoms, the real mental health benefit is in the long-term commitment to a spiritual journey.
One that doesn’t need to be religious, but that has connection to self, the body, others, the world and a greater purpose.
There’s something strange about the world today.
All of the things like yoga and forms of martial arts come from anywhere that isn’t the West.
Yet, the West is where all of the technological “progress” is made.
Other countries may not have aimed for this, because it’s not important.
People in all countries now want what the West has, but people in the West are starting to want the connection-related practices that come from other cultures.
I’d say that the West has blinded other countries over the centuries, on what’s important and what isn’t.
Ultimately, food, shelter, water, connection and purpose is what makes people truly happy.
Vinyasa yoga, or Flow. The purpose isn’t getting ripped, even if you do, rather it’s to make it harder for you to connect your breath with your movements. It’s faster-paced, constant and includes more difficult movements than other types of yoga.
Check out the YT channel, “Breathe and Flow”.
Here’s the benefits of yoga, if you do what I’m now prioritising, which is to feel happier by accepting and allowing the human ego to fade out.
Gain an understanding of who you are deep inside, and what matters the most to you.
Become able to enjoy both the good times in life more, and even the bad times.
Feel better in your own body, and feel more free and capable as you walk around.
Being able to take all judgement from others, as a way to better understand people, yourself and the universe.
I’m still working out what the difference between ego and confidence is, in a way.
I think confidence is more faith in yourself, based on either present or past evidence of particular capabilities.
Ego invites somewhat of a superiority complex, often based on evidence that hasn’t occurred yet.
So, if you value purpose, fulfilment and happiness, then this is the place to be.

Here’s my Associative Habit to begin doing yoga every second morning.
I hear the pomodoro timer go off for my 2 hour work segment at the beginning of the day.
I associate this with taking my laptop to a specific place in my house and placing it down.
I then go and grab my mat and place it in the designated room.
I associate this with opening up a yoga video from Breathe and Flow on YouTube and start.
After I finish, I do get up and go for a short run.
I then come home, sit down in a specific chair, facing a specific direction, and do the Wim Hof Method.
I don’t do this, but you could say a Reconditioning Sentence. Check out this video (Dopamine Hacking) if you want to see what those are.
That’s it!
